Business Development Director

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Develops and implements strategic marketing plans to attract sales channel partners.
• Identify preferred partner(s)
• Identify and close first customer for each partner
• Support partner sales and marketing activity
• Maintain partner relationship(s)

Leads company to customers via Market Research:
• Represents the voice of the customer and articulates customer needs internally
• Conducts customer primary research to supplement partner sales forecast
• Develops extensive knowledge of the competition in order to support partners
• Maintains an understanding of current products, markets, industry practices in order to leverage existing knowledge, and optimize development of customer opportunities

Job Requirements:
• 5 years corporate product/channel marketing experience
• Previous history in direct customer selling
• Experience in biofuels industry preferred
• BSChE and MBA preferred
• Exercise time management skills in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work efficiently while meeting tight deadlines
• Ability to execute in international context
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate ideas clearly in both oral and written communication
• Work both independently and in a team oriented environment
